How to apply for grants

Jordans Environment Trust (JET) aims to preserve and enhance the local heritage in the form of amenities, buildings and land for the benefit of residents and the public. To achieve this aim, the JET trustees will consider requests for grants from local organisations or groups for funding for projects that benefit the local community.

Please use the JET Grant Application Form to apply or contact JET, if you prefer to first discuss the suitability of a proposed project.

Guidance:

  • Most grant requests would be for sums up to £500. Higher sums may be considered for more ambitious projects that are in keeping with JET’s objectives.
  • If grants are for the purchase of equipment etc, please attach photographs, drawings or quotations from potential suppliers that can be helpful to assist the trustees in reviewing projects for approval.
  • Requests for projects for tangible equipment, buildings, furniture or facilities that could carry a plaque or signage denoting the contribution by JET tend to be favoured. JET will provide a suitable plaque with agreed wording.
  • Please include details of how the funding would be used and how and by whom the project will be maintained after completion (e.g. a piece of outdoor furniture may need regular cleaning or weather protection).
